Clarinet Key and Cumpas Turquoise pendant
This necklace is made with a thumb key from a Yamaha clarinet that had been left in a non-climate-controlled attic for too long, and the wood warped beyond repair. (Moral of the story: don't store your clarinet in the attic.) The stone is Cumpas turquoise from northern Mexico, near the border of southern Arizona. The stone setting is sterling silver, and the clarinet key is sterling silver plated. The necklace is 18 inches long and sterling silver plate with a sterling silver plated lobster claw clasp.
