Clarinet and Labradorite Pendant
The clarinet this piece is made from met an unfortunate end. It was a used clarinet that a friend of mine bought from a local Ft. Worth student to resell. She sold it to a college student in Oklahoma who was majoring in music education. The young lady was driving back from Dallas to Oklahoma after visiting friends and got rear-ended somewhere near the Oklahoma-Texas state line. The impact crushed the trunk of her car and the clarinet inside, but thankfully she was able to walk away with very minor injuries. Some of the keys were twisted beyond recognition and couldn’t be used, but some others survived, and are the jewelry you see here.
The decorative element is made of brass. The neck wire is made of 10k gold plated carbon steel memory wire. The lobster claw clasp is also 10k gold plated steel. The stone is labradorite from Madagascar. It balances and protects the aura, raises consciousness and grounds spiritual energies. Excellent for strengthening intuition, if you're into that sort of thing.
