Blue Wonder woven wire ring
This is a proof-of-concept piece based on a design of Kaska Firor, a well-known jewelry artist and teacher of wire weaving. I took the design she taught in a workshop I took and used coated copper wire instead of fine silver to see if it would work. The focal bead is opalite, a man-made opal substitute. The ring size is somewhere between 9 and 9.5. One thing to note that as you wear this ring to work in, wash dishes in, slay dragons in, or fight ninjas in, the color will eventually come off, leaving interesting wear patterns.
