This oboe bell B-flat key came from a Marigaux oboe that had been stored in a Texas Hill country barn without climate control for twenty years. As you can imagine, the wood was pretty brittle and cracked. Now it lives on as a beautiful pendant, paired with Shattuckite in sterling silver. Shattuckite is an uncommon copper silicate mineral known for it's deep blue color and named for the Shattuck mine in Bisbee, Arizona, where it was first discovered. It can also be found in Namibia and Congo. This particular specimen came from Bisbee, Arizona.
The chain is sterling silver and 18 inches long. The clasp is a ring clasp.
