Greetings, all. I survived show number two with minimal injuries. I will say that trying to load and unload a vehicle by yourself in 140% humidity when you are prone to hot flashes is no laughing matter. One woman asked me if I needed a doctor and I told her no, just an air conditioner. Ah, well. Joys of aging. As far as sales go, I did manage to sell more than the first show. The most exciting bit was I sold my very first clarinet pendant! Thanks Lisa from Dallas for giving this baby a new home! Thanks also to Lois from Plano for giving one of my wire wrapped pendants and a freshwater pearl bracelet a home!
I didn't get a chance to photograph the freshwater pearl bracelet, but it was white and black freshwater irregular pearls with silver wire.
And now for my next show: The Craft Guild of Dallas Spring 2017 Show & Sale! Yes, I made it into my first juried art exhibition, and the best part is, you can buy stuff there! Below is a map of the venue. It is located in Valley View Mall and will be held over Mother's Day weekend, so if you've been procrastinating, or your mom is really picky about gifts, head on down here and have a look around, or better yet, bring mom with you! There will be a lot of talented artists with work on display, and not just jewelry. There will be paintings, sculpture, pottery, leathercrafts, glass, and more! As an FYI, we aren't all going to be hanging out in booths. It will be more like a gallery setting with a checkout for purchases at the front. If you want to come specifically to talk to me, my volunteer shifts are Friday from 10:00am to 1:00pm, Saturday from 10:00am to 1:00pm, and Sunday from 11:00am to 2:00pm. Please come out and support your local artists!
