Heather Karlsson began creating jewelry in November of 2014 when she started taking a silversmithing class at the Craft Guild of Dallas to hone her soldering skills. Her original intention was to learn the fine art of working with metal in order to build custom keywork for woodwind instruments. While studying there, she developed a knack for creative, unusual designs, and fell in love with making jewelry and learning new metal working techniques. She is constantly investigating the world of jewelry making and has participated in workshops with Marilyn O'Hara (her mentor), Mike Geldon, Kaska Firor, Vickie Hallmark, and Marlene Richie. She hopes some day to attend the Tucson Gem & Mineral Show, and that people will enjoy looking at and wearing her jewelry creations all over the world. Heather Karlsson lives in a suburb of Dallas, Texas with her husband and two deranged house cats, Kaycee Katt and Tosca Q Puss.
